If you need a new regulator, the Cycle Electric CE-540 is for you. This is designed to fit on the end of your 12 volt 65a generator, keeping a tidy appearance with exceptional function. Adding this to your existing generator will make it perform like a DGV-5000 as long as it is not a weak generator. The current limiting circuit senses armature temperature and limits the current in an inverse proportion. Temperature goes up, amps go down. This gives you more amps after a cold start to recharge your battery faster (5 minutes instead of 20). Yet protect against over heating (armature burn out).
