This weld-on hardtail rear frame section fits stock front frame sections on Sportsters from 1952-1981 (stock front frame section not included). The beauty of this weld-on hardtail is that the end result is a super-clean rigid frame. It gets rid of stock seat post area, and the tweaks to stretch and drop give that perfect profile and stance that will make your chopper look like a million bucks. This frame is approximately 4″ stretch over stock wheelbase and 2″ drop (2 inches lower than stock).
This frame requires the use of a 3/4″ axle (custom style, or the stock axle used from 1977-99 will work), disc brake rear wheel and rigid model brake caliper bracket. This frame is for disc brake use only, there are no provisions to accommodate a drum brake rear wheel. This frame is designed to use our Universal Rear Chain Adjusters for 3/4″ axles which are included.
